Approaching Revelation - I am Ready

Shavuot is approaching! In less than a week we will stand at Mount Sinai again, ask for inspiration again, enter another opportunity to discover what it means to be alive and changing. It is an incredible feeling to reach Shavuot in Atlanta, with COVID cases on the decline and chances to see friends and support communal life in person again.

Just like the weeks before Yom Kippur or Passover, these days offer us a fleeting opportunity to reflect on what we need from the mountain top. If you have not been counting the Omer, it is not too late - you have one more week to explore Malchut, a week about manifestation and leadership. What is the earth asking you for, the mountain? What does the Holy One want you to bring out in the world?

It’s hard to just ask these questions without preparing your spirit to hear. So in this last week, I offer you a new melody for the prayer we sing before reciting the Omer. This prayer says: Here I am, source of all Life.  I am ready and prepared to receive wisdom. I am listening closely, my heart and ears are open.

Thank you, Rabbi Sam Blustin, for sharing your voice and spirit in this melody.

This song is also a prayer for readiness to release my first album through Rising Song Records, Ruach Neshama.  Joey Weisenberg and I have been producing Ruach Neshama for the past year and it has truly been a labor of love! After Shavuot I will be opening up pre-orders for the 9 track album through my fundraiser, and I hope that you will be the first to receive them.

May this Shavuot bring you inspiration, wisdom, and the strength to say "hineni".

Yours,

Rabbi Ariel
